Several forest inventories in mangroves were conducted in different places and on different dates. Inventories take place at 6 main locations : Iracoubo, Sinnamary, Macouria, Cayenne, Petit Cayenne and Kaw. 1. at Iracoubo, forest inventories were carried out in 2003 and cover an area of 4800 m², 2. at Sinnamary, forest inventories were conducted in 1997, 2003 and 2004 on 9440 m², 3. at Macouria, 2824 m² were inventoried in 2006, 4. in the south-west of Cayenne, 10800 m² were inventoried in 1993, 5. at Petit-Cayenne, forest inventories were conducted in 2011 on 10000 m², 6. and in the Area of Kaw, three inventories in 2002, 2004 and 2005 cover an area of 34925 m². During the forest inventories, the collected data concern DBH, overall height or 1st branch height, the inter-trees distance in a forest plot, sometimes the surface salinity and state of the tree (living/dead).

Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Plateau La Douane is composed of one 1ha-plot. A complete inventory of the trees with dbh>=10cm has been made in 2001: 522 trees have been registrated, 518 different species have been identified and 99,2% of the inventoried trees have been identifies to the species level. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plot. In order to calculate the bounding box for the plots, we have expanded the point location 100 meters in each direction.

Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Mont Itoupé is composed of 10 20x120m-plots. An incomplete inventory on the pool of trees with dbh>=10cm has been made in 2010. 104 trees by plot have been registrated (except one plot with 102 trees inventoried). 104, 103, 101, 103, 104, 96, 102, 104, 99, 103 species have been identified, respectively to each plot. 100%, 99%, 97.1%, 99%, 100%, 92.3%, 98.1%, 100%, 97.1% and 99% of the inventoried trees have been identified to the level of species, respectively to each plot. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plots. In order to calculate the bounding box for these plots, we have expanded the point location 500 meters in each direction.

Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Haute Beiman is composed of two 1ha-plots. A complete inventory of the trees has been made in 2012. 645 and 507 trees with dbh>=10cm have been registrated, respectively to each plot. 613 and 465 species have been identified. 95% of the trees in the first plot have been identified to the species level, and 91.7% in the second plot. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plots. In order to calculate the bounding box for these plots, we have expanded the point location 300 meters in each direction.

Guyadiv is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The site of Petite Montagne Tortues is composed of 7 plots : 5 30x40m-plots and 2 20x20m-plots. A complete inventory has been made in 2005 : 483 trees with dbh>=10cm have been registrated. Respectively to each plot, 67, 70, 79, 49, 22, 57 and 80 species have been identified. The percents of trees identified to the species level are 95,7%, 79,5%, 95,2%, 92,5% 62,9%, 91,9% and 87%. We only have the point coordinates and not the precise demarcation of the sample plots. In order to calculate the bounding box for these plots, we have expanded the point location 500 meters in each direction.

Guyafor is a network of permanent forest plots installed in French Guiana. The Guyafor Database compiles coordinates of the 11 sites (Paracou, Bafog, Organabo, Risquetout, Montagne Tortue, Saut Lavilette, Acarouany (Javouhey), Montagne Plomb, Tibourou, Nouragues, Laussat) and their subdivisions of the guianese permanent plots network. Each site contains georeferenced trees, botanically identified and regularly measured (diameter) for varying periods, depending to the site. This dataset is contains herbarium specimens collected in the Dzanga-Sangha Reserve in the Central African Republic. These data are collected and used by David Harris at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, scientific collaboration are welcomed, please get in touch with a point of contact.

Grey seals (Halichoerus grypus) are present around the coast of Scotland in internationally import numbers. They breed on wave-exposed rocky coasts, sometimes on sand or shingle beaches at the foot of cliffs, often on relatively remote islands, with large groups of pregnant females returning to traditional breeding sites in the autumn. This data shows the breeding colonies currently listed with the Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU).

The site Crique Bastien is composed of two 3km-transects (20m wide). 2608 trees with dbh>=20cm have been recorded by Office national des forêts (ONF). No fauna inventories available. No under-storey plants inventories are available. Soils have been described using 3 samples (1.20m depth max.). No laboratory analysis available for soils.
