The database containing the Geological Map of Italy at a scale 1:500.000 was compiled during the 1990's by digitizing the published map in raster format. All the information contained is derived from the published map that was compiled using a lithostratigraphic approach. The database is structured in 2 layers and 1 descriptive table.

The web services are developed under the eENVplus project, to provide download service compliant with GeoSciML INSPIRE Data model and to perform pilot demostration.

This is the Flood Probability Map data elaborated by the eENVplus EP09 geohazard widget and based on the Flood prone area model defined by GeoZS Slovenian Geological Survey and ISPRA Geological Survey of Italy.This data are a selection part of potential map elaborated by the tool.

The OCG WMS Service of 1:500k Geology is based on the informatization of the Geologic Map of Italy at the same scale pubblished between 70's and 80's by the Geological Survey of Italy. Layers available are: Chronostratigraphy, lithostratigraphy and lithology.
