  • Map of the monthly mean air temperature, mean values of the period 1971-2000, obtained by multivariate regression with altitude and distance to the coast, explanatory variables, and ordinary kriging of residues.

  • The national network of weather stations allows for vital weather data for the weather forecast with an adequate geographical coverage (about 1000 km2 / station) for weather monitoring the synoptic and mesoscale scale and climatological studies, including the use of energy resources (solar , wind and water) and support for micro-climate studies. Part of this network stations are automatic, recording every 10 minutes the main weather elements and elaborating automatically messages in code form that are sent periodically to IPMA's headquarters and disseminated internationally. The main weather elements observed are: atmospheric pressure, temperature and relative humidity, intensity and direction of the wind at various altitudes, precipitation, air temperature 5cm and soil temperature, solar radiation and lightning.

  • Map of the monthly total precipitation, during the period 1971-2000, obtained by multivariate regression with altitude and distance to the coast, explanatory variables, and ordinary kriging of residues.

  • Map of the monthly maximum air temperature, mean values of the period 1971-2000, obtained by multivariate regression with altitude and distance to the coast, explanatory variables, and ordinary kriging of residues.
