SEANSE

Duration : 02/2018 - 02/2020

The SEANSE project aims for a coherent approach to Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs) with a focus on renewable offshore energy in the North Sea. It has been developed under the framework of the Political Declaration on energy cooperation between the North Seas Countries.

The general objective of the SEANSE project is: “to develop a coherent (logical and well-organised) approach to Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs) with a focus on renewable energy in support of the development and effective implementation of MSPs”.

The project is carried out by MSP authorities and appropriate institutes in the countries bordering the North Sea: Netherlands (Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management/Rijkswaterstaat), Germany (Maritime and Hydrographic Agency/BSH), France (French Hydrographic Office/SHOM), Denmark (Danish Maritime Agency/DMA), Scotland (Marine Scotland) and the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR).
