  • A Polling District is a geographical area created by the sub-division of a a UK Parliamentary Constituency for the purposes of a UK Parliamentary Election. Local Authorities create polling districts by virtue of Section 18A of The Representation of the People Act 1983. They are reviewed every 5 years (Section 18C and Schedule A1 refers). All electors within a polling district vote at the same polling place.
