  • NGU Radon awareness. The sources used to create the radon susceptibility web service are 4 printed maps of the Oslo region at a scale of 1:100 000 available on the WMS service.

  • The Geological Survey of Norway (NGU) and Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority (NRPA) launched the Radon Susceptibilities Map series in 2006. These maps provide local authorities with important information on the spatial distribution of potential radon hazards, and can be used for determining the priorities for radon measurements in existing dwellings and for evaluating the risks from radon involved in development of new areas. The sources for the radon susceptibility web service are 4 printed maps of the Oslo region at a scale of 1:100 000 available on the NGU website (www.ngu.no).

  • ArcGIS Server Service Radon Risk Map of the Bedrock at 1 : 500 000 scale. WMS shows the prevailing radon index of different types of bedrock: 1. Low (Mesozoic and Tertiary sediments), 2. Intermediate (Quaternary sediments), 3. Medium ( Metamorphic rocks and Palaeozoic sediments), 4. High (Magmatic rocks, except for the Pre-Variscan granitoids – medium index), 5. Tectonic features, 6. Boundaries of regions

  • INSPIRE View Service provides the results of radon index mapping in the Czech Republic in a scale of 1 : 50,000.

  • In the database of the "Radon Risk Association“ the measurements of radon in bedrock from the whole area of the Czech Republic are stored. Maps of radon index at a scale of 1:50,000 have been compiled using statistical procedures to process the measurements so that the areas defined by the vectorized boundaries of the geological units can be classified using colours to indicate the prevailing radon index for bedrock and quaternary sediments (low, medium, high index).

The source data has been adjusted to meet the INSPIRE requirements for download service.

  • INSPIRE Download Service (ATOM feed) provides access to the results of the mapping of radon index map in the Czech Republic at a scale of 1:50,000.
