This map aims to identify spill locations in Atlantic European waters and construct a marine spill risks index for the coastal territories in the European Atlantic Arc. In the construction of Vector 1 marine spill risk values for MOSES coastal NUTS3 regions were obtained from Fernández-Macho (2016) where a method for the evaluation of marine spill risks is proposed and applied to all European coastal territories. The method uses tools of geographic information systems and computer modelling to simu- late the effect of spills at sea. The modelling considers the size of the spill, its distance from the coast, the shape and length of coast that would be affected and the direction and speed of the ocean currents. It was applied to all recorded historical spills in European waters from 1970 to 2014 (ITOPF, 2015) for 429 Eurostat territorial units in 156 Eu- ropean coastal regions.

The Portuguese Mineral Occurrences and Resources Information System (SIORMINP) provides access to geoscientific, technical and economic information on occurrences, reserves and resources, associated commodities, geology, mines, mining activities, mining wastes and areas with mining potential known in mainland Portugal. Moreover, this information is the result of Portuguese data structure and vocabulary used in former European projects, namely Eurogeosource, Promine, Minerals4EU and ProSUM, enlarged and adjusted to the database model and codelists of INSPIRE Minerals Resources theme.
-
Potential areas and centres of production for Portuguese non-metallic rocks and minerals including lithium.

This is a simplified version of the Carbon and Peatland 2016 map for use in the development of windfarm spatial framework. It only shows the extent of areas within Class 1 and 2 of the classification. To access the unabridged version, select the Carbon and Peatland 2016 dataset.Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) has prepared a consolidated spatial dataset of "carbon rich soil, deep peat and priority peatland habitats" in Scotland derived from existing soil and vegetation data (James Hutton Institute 1:25,000 and 1:250,000 scale soil data and Land Cover Scotland 1988). The resulting Carbon and Peatland map updated earlier work undertaken by SNH for the identification of natural heritage features of national importance available from Scotland's soil website. The map is a high-level planning tool to promote consistency and clarity in the preparation of spatial frameworks by planning authorities. The map is a predictive tool which provides an indication of the likely presence of peat on each individually-mapped area, at a coarse scale. The types of peat shown on the map are carbon-rich soils, deep peat and priority peatland habitat.

Database of mineral resources in Romania for Minerals4EU contains basic information on mineral occurences from the Geological Institute of Romania data base. Mining, exploring, resources/reserves and production statistics is not included in this version. Database is in incipient phase of completion, it will be completed with relevant inforation in next time. The information is harmonized according to specifications in the Minerals4EU project.

Mineral resources contains information on more than 13 000 deposits of metals, industrial minerals, industrial rocks and hydro carbons.. All deposits are described with name, location, type of deposit, economic status and references to literature. More comprehensive descriptions av host rock, minerals, alterations and metal grade etc are also present on many deposits.
