  • The map sheets of the Geological Atlas of Switzerland give detailed information about the uppermost layers of sediment and bedrock. Geological formations are represented by colours, conventional signs and symbols, according to their age, composition and tectonic structure. The topographic base used in the preparation of this series is the Swiss National Map at 1:25 000 scale. For each sheet published, there is also an explanatory booklet in which the geological formations and special features depicted on that sheet are described. These maps are an indispensable tool for geologists, engineers, planners, government departments, scientists and schools.

  • The dataset incorporating information about the surface geology of Finland is a seamless presentation of the surface geology depicting the distribution of both Quaternary and Pre-Quaternary deposits. Soil cover is omitted. The bedrock outcrops in the map of Superficial Geology at a scale of 1:1M are replaced by data from the Bedrock Map of Finland at a scale of 1:1M.

  • The GEOBG500 dataset was created in 1995 by digitizing the paper version of the Geological map of Bulgaria at a scale of 1:500 000, that was published in 1989. This consists of 2 flat coloured sheets covered the whole territory of Bulgaria. The map has been produced in a combined Bulgarian-English edition and was compiled using the Geological Map of Bulgaria at a scale of 1:100 000 as a base, combined with data from the National Geofund. The dataset is digitally integrated and available in MapInfo format.

  • Geological map of the Quaternary of Slovakia at a scale of 1 : 500 000 compiled by J. Maglay et al. showing different types of Quaternary deposits according to their origin. The map plainly shows the spatial distribution and surface extent of all primary, as well as some selected "transitional" genetic types of Quaternary sedimentary and volcanic rocks in Slovakia. It presents a basic picture of the sequence of their evolution and their patterns of distribution and deposition. A component of the map is a lithostratigraphic classification of the Quaternary of Slovakia.

  • The new Geological Map of Belgium at a scale of 1:250 000 project, by the Belgian Geological Survey.

  • High resolution geological map of Surice Agimont at a scale of 1:25 000 from the Walloon Region. See http://environnement.wallonie.be/cartosig/cartegeologique/

  • The Geological Map of Belgium at a scale of 1:40 000 is published by the Belgian Geological Survey.

  • The database for geological map of Romania at 1:1 000 000 scale had been built on the basis of geological map built by an authors team in 1978 and is organized in two layers (Geologic Unit – lithostratigraphy and Geologic Structure – geological boundaries and faults) and two tables. This has been modified for harmonization in to OneGeology Europe project.

  • Digital Geological Map of Serbia represents a simplified version of the geological map 1:500 000 ( done by the Institute of Geology and Mining Research and Test Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials , Belgrade) as a result of a compilation of basic geological map 1:100 000 made by various authors in 1960 - 1980. The units are set aside in chronostratigraphic principle. Faults that have been selected for display were selected based on two criteria : regional distribution and tectonic significance . Map presented here was made specifically for Onegeology -Europe Project of the author Danka Blagojevic , Peter Stejić and Ranka Stanković

  • Geological Map of the Mirofillon area, scale 1:50 000. The map shows polygonal and selected linear geological information sourced from the published IGME 1:50000 scale map of Greece. Geological units are identified using the 1G-E vocabulary that may differ from that on the printed maps. Τhe original data were published in the frame of the program for the compilation of the Geological Map of Greece, scale 1:50 000. The geological mapping has been carried out by K. Manakos, during 1981-1983. Micropaleontologic determinations : Dr. V. Skourtsi-Koroneou. IGME licensing terms and conditions apply to external use of the data.
