The map of Quaternary deposits of Finland at 1:1 000 000 scale depicts the main features of the Quaternary geology of Finland. The dataset consists of areas defined according to deposit type and genesis.

Superficial deposits in Norway in various mapscales - best of. The Superficial Deposits of Norway (best of) is a database giving full coverage of the superficial deposits throughout Norway. High resolution data at scales of 1:20 000 to 1:50 000 exists for only about 30% of the country, mostly in areas where superficial deposits are of significant economic importance. The deposits are classified according to their genesis and thickness.

The Map of the Quaternary Deposits of Finland at a scale of 1:200.000 contains information about the superficial geology and covers the whole of Finland.

The Geological Map of Switzerland at 1:500,000 scale covers all of Switzerland and adjoining parts of neighbouring countries. It provides an overview of the distribution of the superficial geological formations exposed in Switzerland. It is thus an important tool for improving the understanding of our environment in the context of sustainable development. It is also an essential aid for education in the fields of environmental and earth sciences, as well as for the identification and prediction of natural hazards. The previous edition appeared more than 25 years ago and the new map shows a significantly improved level of detail. The addition of new data and the revision of older geological records made during recent decades have led to significant improvements in the new version. Thanks to a revised layout, the detailed legend is now easier to read and therefore easier to understand.

The dataset for the Surface Geology of Ireland at a scale of 1:1M was created by generalizing Quaternary mapping at a scale of 1:50 000 published by the GSI and incorporating information from 1:70 000 scale digital mapping of the subsoil by Teagasc.

For most of the data collated at a scale greater than 1:250 000 derived information such as groundwater potential and infiltration capacity have been added as attributes.

The database containing the Geological Map of Italy at a scale 1:500.000 was compiled during the 1990's by digitizing the published map in raster format. All the information contained is derived from the published map that was compiled using a lithostratigraphic approach. The database is structured in 2 layers and 1 descriptive table.

The GEO_200k_RO dataset has been created by vectorization of the paper map series: Geological Maps of Romania at a scale of 1 : 200 000, created during the years 1960-1969. This dataset was digitally processed using ArcGIS software as ESRI geodatabase format.

NGU Superficial geology - OneGeology-Europe WP3. Mapscale 1:1 M. This service shows surface geology, structures and bedrock defined by rock types and ages. The areas of bedrock are also assigned to tectonic units. The map has been compiled using data acquired during several mapping campaigns carried out over decades, which was archived in digital format, published or prepared in manuscript form between 1989 and 2001. Due to variations in the quality of information gathered and the different scales used in different mapping campaigns, the level of accuracy in the underlying national database is variable. The database is designed for presentation at the 1:1M scale.
