The dataset incorporating information about the surface geology of Finland is a seamless presentation of the surface geology depicting the distribution of both Quaternary and Pre-Quaternary deposits. Soil cover is omitted. The bedrock outcrops in the map of Superficial Geology at a scale of 1:1M are replaced by data from the Bedrock Map of Finland at a scale of 1:1M.

The dataset for the Geological Map of Estonia has been created by vectorizing the paper version of the Bedrock Geological Map of Estonia at a scale of 1:200 000 and has been published in 1997. The map shows areas of bedrock classified into geological units according to the types of rock and their ages. In addition, fault zones in the bedrock are also depicted.

The dataset for the Bedrock Geology of Ireland at a scale of 1:1M was created by simplifying the published digital Bedrock Geological Map of Ireland at a scale of 1:500 000.
-
The dataset for the Surface Geology of Ireland at a scale of 1:1M was created by generalizing Quaternary mapping at a scale of 1:50 000 published by the GSI and incorporating information from 1:70 000 scale digital mapping of the subsoil by Teagasc.

The Geological Map of Finland depicts the main features of bedrock geology in Finland. In this dataset bedrock areas are classified according to rock types and ages. The dataset is an improved version of the Geological map of the Fennoscandian Shield. The legend has been revised in cooperation with the geological surveys of Sweden and Norway.

The dataset incorporates the main features of the bedrock geology in Norway. Areas of bedrock are classified according to rock type and age. Dyke swarms, tectonic structures, impact sites, and basalts are also shown. The areas of bedrock are also assigned to tectonic units. The map has been compiled using data acquired during several mapping campaigns carried out over decades and therefore the level of accuracy is variable.

NGU Superficial geology - OneGeology-Europe WP3. Mapscale 1:1 M. This service shows surface geology, structures and bedrock defined by rock types and ages. The areas of bedrock are also assigned to tectonic units. The map has been compiled using data acquired during several mapping campaigns carried out over decades, which was archived in digital format, published or prepared in manuscript form between 1989 and 2001. Due to variations in the quality of information gathered and the different scales used in different mapping campaigns, the level of accuracy in the underlying national database is variable. The database is designed for presentation at the 1:1M scale.

The Geological Map of Belgium at a scale of 1:40 000 is published by the Belgian Geological Survey.
