The first version of the contiguous digital map was compiled by Š. Káčer et al.(2005) under the terms of the geological project Digital Geological Map of the Slovak Republic at a scale of 1: 50 000. In addition to areal, line and point information, the following separate layers are available: a list of the background documents, classification of the data in terms of quality, a review of the scheme used for classification of geological units and structures. The areal information provided on the digital map includes: the unified legend and the original legend showing the characteristics and occurrence of individual lithotypes across the whole territory of Slovakia.

GEORH1M is a simplifield version of the geological map of the Republic of Croatia 1 :300 000, which is based on 61 map sheets of the Basic Geological Map 1:100 000 produced in the time period between 1962. and 1989. Map shows lithotostratigraphic units and tectonics of the Republic of Croatia. GEORH1M was edited specifically for the purpose of the OneGeology-Europe project. Map is completely made with GIS technology (ArcGIS 9.3.).

The map sheets of the Geological Atlas of Switzerland give detailed information about the uppermost layers of sediment and bedrock. Geological formations are represented by colours, conventional signs and symbols, according to their age, composition and tectonic structure. The topographic base used in the preparation of this series is the Swiss National Map at 1:25 000 scale. For each sheet published, there is also an explanatory booklet in which the geological formations and special features depicted on that sheet are described. These maps are an indispensable tool for geologists, engineers, planners, government departments, scientists and schools.

Geological Map of the Western Carpathians and Adjacent Areas at a scale of 1 : 500 000 compiled by J. Lexa et al.( 2000). The map contains both polyline and polygon layers. The basis used for the compilation of this map is the Geological Map of the Slovak Republic at a scale of 1:500 000, compiled by A. Biely et al.(1996) with amendments derived from the geological maps of the neighbouring countries.

The Geological Map of Switzerland at 1:500,000 scale covers all of Switzerland and adjoining parts of neighbouring countries. It provides an overview of the distribution of the superficial geological formations exposed in Switzerland. It is thus an important tool for improving the understanding of our environment in the context of sustainable development. It is also an essential aid for education in the fields of environmental and earth sciences, as well as for the identification and prediction of natural hazards. The previous edition appeared more than 25 years ago and the new map shows a significantly improved level of detail. The addition of new data and the revision of older geological records made during recent decades have led to significant improvements in the new version. Thanks to a revised layout, the detailed legend is now easier to read and therefore easier to understand.

1: 1,000,000 scale geological map was constructed from surface geology maps of Hungary of scale 1 : 200 000. It contains 31 different geological units of generalized pre-quaternary geological formations and quaternary sediments of different genetic types .

The harmonized geological map of Slovenia is a simplified version of the 1:250 000 scale Geological Map of Slovenia (Buser, 2009), which was compiled using the Basic Geological Map of Slovenia at a scale of 1: 100.000 (compiled by various authors during the 1960's to 1980's) with the addition of new information by Buser. The map depicts the lithostratigraphic makeup of Slovenia . The map presented here was edited specifically for the purpose of the OneGeology-Europe project by M. Bavec, M. Novak, M. Poljak, M. Trajanova and D. Skaberne.

Digital Geological Map of Serbia represents a simplified version of the geological map 1:500 000 ( done by the Institute of Geology and Mining Research and Test Nuclear and Other Mineral Raw Materials , Belgrade) as a result of a compilation of basic geological map 1:100 000 made by various authors in 1960 - 1980. The units are set aside in chronostratigraphic principle. Faults that have been selected for display were selected based on two criteria : regional distribution and tectonic significance . Map presented here was made specifically for Onegeology -Europe Project of the author Danka Blagojevic , Peter Stejić and Ranka Stanković
