DTM of the German Bight (yearly, 1982 - 2012). Classified isosurfaces of spatiotemporally interpolated bathymetries from the years 1982 to 2012, with two parameters for the purposes of reliability: Confidence and Minimum dt. The parameter Confidence [m] indicates the reliability of the modelled bathymetry. Data were generated within the framework of the German Coastal Engineering Research Council project AufMod (¿Aufbau integrierter Modellsysteme zur Analyse der langfristigen Morphodynamik in der Deutschen Bucht¿ [¿Development of integrated model systems for the analysis of long-term morphodynamics in the German Bight¿], 01.11.2009-31.12.2012).

This dataset stems from the BIOMASS project (https://ec.europa.eu/knowledge4policy/projects-activities/jrc-biomass-assessment-study_en). Its aim is to build a reliable database to characterize the algae sector and to support informed European policies on Blue Growth and Bioeconomy. In the framework of this project, a joint workshop between JRC, FAO and the COST Actions Phycomorph and EUalgae was organized, where the knowledge gaps and needs regarding algae biomass production were discussed. As a first step in this project information on the location of the production facilities, group of produced organism (macro/microalgae) and production method (Fermenters, Photobioreactors, Open ponds, Semi Open ponds, Photobioreactors and open ponds, Photobioreactors and fermenters, Pilot, Harvesting; land-based, off-shore and coastal Aquaculture, Integrated multi-trophic or not) have been collected in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and UK. The list of European algae producers is based on the list provided by European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) and combined with JRC list
