- Statement
- originated from land contamination dataset from Landmark, point line and poly dataset. The data was analysed and then converted data into polygonised data. Further analysis was undertaken to include all landward burghs into the dataset. Initially based by Landmark on 1:10000 historic mapping, Angus Council used 1:2500 to improve the quality and acuracy of the data and also to resolve unidentified data. Originally each site was associated to Epochs but anaysis was undertaken to combine sites where necessary and to improve the data further by sub dividing sites. each site now is individually recorded with notation to each historic use is necessary.
