NGU grundfjeld og overfladegeologi Norge for 1G-E projektet

Datasættet skitserer de væsentligste elementer i grundfjeldets geologi i Norge. Det viser grundfjeldsområdernes bjergarter og aldre. Dyke sværme, tektoniske strukturer, impakt sites og basalter er også vist. Grundfjeldsområderne er også tildelt tektoniske enheder. Kortet er sammensat af data fra flere kortlægningskampagner, der har fundet sted over flere årtier, og derfor er nøjagtigheden variabel.

Data was originally compiled in a Finnish-Russian-Swedish-Norwegian co-operation project resulting in a geological map of the Fennoscandian Shield. The dataset is composed of data from several mapping campaigns, performed over decades, compiled and archived in digital format. Due to the variation of quality and scales of different mapping campaigns the level of accuracy is variable. The database is designed for presentation in the 1:1M scale.
