NGU Geologiska risker - Radonriskkarta över delar av Norge

NGU lanserade i samarbete med Statens strålevern en riskkarta för radon 2006. Dessa kartor ger lokala myndigheter viktig information om den rumsliga utbredningen av potentiella radonrisker, och kan användas i priotering av radonmätningar i befintliga bostäder och vid en bedömning av den framtida utvecklingen i ett nya bostadsområden. Källan till till karttjänsten Radonrisk är fyra tryckta kartor i Osloområdet i skala 1:100 000 som finns tillgängliga på NGUs webbplats (www.ngu.no).

In constructing radon awareness maps, NGU measured uranium concentrations in the ground using instruments mounted in helicopters and airplanes. The NRPA contributed measurements of indoor radon in 6326 dwellings within the study area. Comparison of these data sets, and incorporation of information on bedrock and drift geology, resulted in radon awareness maps covering some 10,000 square kilometres from Hadeland and Romerike in the North to Fredrikstad and Skien in the South. Almost two million people reside in this area.

The source for the radon susceptibility web service are 4 printed maps of the Oslo region in scale 1:100 000.
