This dataset includes the UWWTD sensitive area covering the area of Qammieh Point till Ras il- Raheb, as reported under the UWWTD Article 5 and the WFD Article 6 Registry of Protected Areas. The area remains unchanged since last reporting for year 2016.

Statement

Malta's Urban Waste Water Sensitive Areas have been designated as part of Malta's obligations related to Article 5 of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive. UWWTD sensitive areas are part of the WFD Article 6 protected area registry for the Maltese Catchment District and require special designation for the protection of such surface water. As at year ending 2018 these areas remain unchanged.
