Harmonised WFS Fishing Activity Maps at 2-3 Knots for Tuna

Harmonised WFS Download service. These datasets were manipulated and produced in aggregated maps by showing the intensity of VMS (and not the effort) by a methodology used in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. Since most of the vessels are under 12 m and have no VMS, these maps represents only a fraction of the Drifting Long Lines vessels - 59.1% of the vessels targeting Tuna.For this dataset of tuna 2-3 knots for hauling and speed were taken into consideration.
